On a day which so many of us remember the tragedy and horror of the attacks in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania, on Thursday, September 11, employee volunteers of the Hartford Financial Services Group were spreading love throughout the community. More than 20 employee volunteers--"Team Hart"--came from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to paint doors at St. Augustine School and did clean up landscaping at St. Augustine School and Church (removing trash, taking out weeds from flower beds and side walks, etc.). They all came eager to help and had fun in the process. We thank our friend in the Malta House of Care, Barbara "Bobbie" Bartucci, who facilitated the opportunity for "Team Hart" to come and help St. Augustine Parish. As you know, the Malta House of Care is a mobile medical clinic that provides free primary health care to the uninsured in our community. They also were here at Saint Augustine Church on Thursday, as they are every Thursday providing these invaluable services.
On behalf of the parish of Saint Augustine, I wish to extend our deepest gratitude to the Hartford Financial Services Group--"Team Hart"--and Barbara "Bobbie" Bartucci of the Malta House of Care! Thank you and may God bless each and everyone of you for spreading some love throughout our community! Go "Team Hart"!
