![]() We congratulate, Mr. Hector Figueroa, the 2015 Recipient of the Archdiocesan St. Joseph Medal of Appreciation from Saint Augustine Church, Hartford! On Sunday, March 22, 2015, along with other recipients of the parishes of the Archdiocese of Hartford, Hector received this honor by our Archbishop Leonard P. Blair at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford. As many know, Hector Figueroa is a devoted parishioner of our parish--a familiar face in the parish--who volunteers faithfully serving as our sacristan, altar server, a food pantry volunteer, parish handy man, reader in the Spanish Mass, and a member of the Cursillo Movement. Hector is there to open the church during the week in the mornings and evenings and weekends, sets up for Mass or for Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, serves at Mass and for Exposition and Benediction, and he does so with a joy filled heart--a heart of service to God and to his brothers and sisters in Christ. Hector is well deserving of this honor and with profoundly grateful hearts for all that he does for Christ and His Church, especially at St. Augustine's, we congratulate him.
